Contemporary Industrial Gardens at the Roundhouse, Beacon
Text
When I met with Jessica and her mother ahead of her June 2023 wedding, she shared her desire to transform her wedding venue with an interior series of woodland-inspired designs. Nestled in the picturesque Hudson Valley, Jessica and Ryan exchanged vows at The Roundhouse in Beacon, NY, surrounded by an enchanting blend of natural beauty and contemporary elegance. Their venue’s raw, industrial charm was transformed with captivating floral designs. Honoring Jessica’s request for nature-forward floral designs, the wedding floral suite featured garden-inspired floral designs, which created a high-impact woodland aesthetic that was both striking and sophisticated.
The wedding was perfectly timed with the spring flower growing season in Connecticut and the Hudson Valley, which ensured the flowers available to Jessica and Ryan were at their best. Utilizing 100% American-grown flowers from farms in both Connecticut and California, we were able to reinforce the couple’s commitment to sustainability throughout their wedding day. The timeless green and white color palette the couple selected was elevated through the use of texture and tones to create the interior woodland forest of Jessic'a’s dreams. The team and I blended lush greenery and delicate blooms to bring their vision to life. Featuring an array of foraged and locally grown flowers and foliage, the couple’s vision was brought to life with a sea of peonies, garden roses, dogwood, spirea, blueberry, and more; the final designs were abundant and seasonally inspired beauty.
From bouquet to ceiling beam there was no shortage of floral décor for Jessica and Ryan, we took to hear their request to transform the reception space. The bridal party carried abundant garden-style bouquets, each bursting with life and capturing the spirit of the season. For the ceremony, a breathtaking foraged flower and foliage arch framed Jessica and Ryan as they exchanged vows, with the wild elegance of nature provided a stunning backdrop. Inside the reception, ceiling foliage drapery created a whimsical and immersive environment; and the tables were adorned with a mix of high and low floral arrangements, balancing sophistication with an inviting, garden-like atmosphere.
Jessica and Ryan’s wedding at The Round House was a breathtaking union of natural beauty, elegant design, and sustainable practices. From the lush garden-inspired bouquets to the enchanting reception space, every detail was a celebration of their love for each other and the world around them. It was a joy to partner with them and their families to bring this woodland-inspired vision to life, and we are thrilled to see the months of hard work, and collaboration come to life for this one-of-a-kind couple.
