Blushing Barbie Pink Dogwood & Garden Roses at Le Chateau in South Salem, NY

Meghan & Dan are sunshine personified; their wedding day was a joy and love-filled extravaganza at the elegant Le Chateau in South Salem, NY. After a soft morning shower, the dazzling June sun came through the clouds, and their wedding day sprang to life under the gleaming beauty of late spring. Selecting a color palette of pinks in various hues, creams, and greens, the feminine palette was tempered with elegant floral design choices.

Working together, we perfected their vision for formal garden-inspired wedding floral designs while highlighting forward-facing flower varieties with dainty and unexpected accents.

It was important to Dan and Meghan that the flowers highlight what was seasonally available while also balancing the grandeur of their venue. Utilizing heirloom varieties of garden roses along with outstanding peonies, we built their floral designs around an anchor of identifiable and swoon-worthy blossoms.

Sourcing 100% Connecticut Grown flowers, the design suite featured peonies, garden roses, dogwood, ranunculus, campanula, and other late spring delights. The studio was fortunate enough to work with 30+ Connecticut flower farms to secure each stem of locally grown product for the couple. Without the dedication of each farmer involved, the wedding day would not have come to life as seamlessly as it did. Emphasizing timeless compositions, the floral arrangements balanced elegance with garden abundance.

From ceremony to reception, the floral designs were overflowing with garden spoils. For Meghan's bouquet, we began with a base of peonies, garden roses, interwoven pieces of greenery, fluttering scabiosa, and a few snapdragons to create a lush flower-forward composition. Moving into the ceremony space, dogwood-laden arrangements framed the couple as they exchanged vows before their family and friends. Le Chateau’s ballroom is expansive and stunning. To bring that space to life, we balanced both low-to-the-table and towering centerpieces featuring statement maple fronds, early-season hydrangeas, and peonies from our partner farms. The garden-centric composition carried their updated and elegant vision through the wedding environment.

To cap the evening, Dan and Meghan danced their time away amongst family and friends, and they all gathered to celebrate their effervescent love.

Their wedding day was artfully documented by Alex & Jully Photography.
