Maple Canopies & Abundant Tablescapes at Keeler Tavern in Ridgefield, CT
Shannon and Tyler’s celebration of love sprung to life in the hidden gardens of Keeler Tavern in Ridgefield, CT. Under a stunning summer sun, a dazzling assortment of soft barley there blush, lilac, and cream-hued flowers were set against a symphonic display of lush garden foliage.
When recalling this couple and their wedding day, a few words that come to mind are collaborative, vision-driven, kind, and detail-oriented. As the wedding flower planning process progressed, Tyler, Shannon, and I worked as a team to adapt and respond to changes at the venue that no one could predict. Two weeks before their big day, the venue broke ground on a major landscaping renovation, and we had to add hiding construction equipment to the installation expectations!
Fortunately, no one was the wiser to these wedding day surprises as their garden-centric celebration was ethereal, ephemeral, and intentionally designed to enhance this Ridgefield, CT wedding gem. For their ceremony, an entire maple tree canopy was transformed into an organic garden installation peppered with peonies and garden roses, a soft and welcoming backdrop to their romantic ceremony.
Capitalizing on the height of peony and garden rose season, the couple and their guests were treated to flower-forward compositions in the reception space as well. Immersive and abundant tablescape featuring mismatched flower arrangements, all brimming with mid-spring spoils. Petite ikebana-inspired bowls dances with statement centerpieces to create expansive and enticing floral displays.
Under the warm glow os hundreds of candles, and a warm June sun, Shannon & Tyler celebrated their day exactly as they intended…together through it all. Their day was artfully captured by Gillian Lee Photography, and the newlyweds spent their weekend at The Fountain Inn.
